The Difference
is THE GUN
|
The reason is basic. AccuSpray Guns were designed from
the inside out for HVLP. Unlike other HVLP guns, ours is
designed from the inside out for low pressure
performance. The key is the gun's large sweeping air
passages which eliminate air turbulence. Full turbine
pressure is efficiently delivered without pressure loss.
The result is complete atomization whether spraying
waterborne or solvent-borne paints, coatings and
finishes. |
| By comparison, most other HVLP guns are simply
converted high pressure guns. They have drilled
air passages with many restrictions and tight air
passages. These sharp turns cause air turbulence,
and hurt performance by limiting atomization.
|
|
In an AccuSpray Gun, air both enters and leaves the process
area at the same pressure: 10 psi or less. This virtually
eliminates the exploding and blasting effects which create
overspray.
In converted high pressure guns, air enters the process area
at pressures up to 100 psi. When released during atomization,
the high pressures rapidly expand. This creates overspray which
hurts transfer efficiencies and wastes paint.
Generally, HVLP refers to a spray gun having less than 10 psi
atomization air pressure at the air cap and generating transfer
efficiencies of 65%. As a result, almost any HVLP system
can provide compliance with environmental regulations while
cutting coating costs compared to conventional high pressure
guns. But, AccuSpray does much more.
With transfer efficiency averaging 70% to 90%,
AccuSpray not only saves you 30% to 50% in coating cost over
conventional guns, but 20% to 40% over other HVLP guns.
Looking at the chart, a company spending $10,000 per year on
coatings can save up to $2,000 per year by switching to
HVLP. By switching to AccuSpray, you can save up to
$4,000. It all adds up.

AccuSpray guns are molded in two precision-shaped halves with
large, sweeping air passages. Air turbulence is eliminated
by design to deliver complete atomization. The widest
range of coatings will spray perfectly. The large, sweeping
passages also allow the unrestricted low pressure air to flow
through the gun without pressure loss. When using a
turbine, this means maximum pressure with the greatest amount of
control right where it's needed - at the point of
atomization. When using compressed air, this means minimal
air expansion for maximum paint savings.
You also benefit from all the other advantages of AccuSpray
HVLP.
